April Bible Reading Plan

Why Join The Challenge?

One of the best things we can do as moms and homeschool teachers is prioritizing spending time in God’s word. Digging into His word is how we learn more about who God is and who He created us to be. Over the past few months I have had the privilege of digging into God’s word with friends and have found that doing the readings with others helps me to stay accountable so I would love for you to join us in this bible reading journey.

What We Are Reading In April

In April we are going to dive deep into the topic of marriage. We will start the first half of the month in the Song of Solomon and the second half of the month we will dive deeper into a topical study on marriage and what God’s word has to say about it. One thing we must be aware of when doing topical studies is making sure we keep everything in context so I have done my best to make sure we are looking at the whole context when digging into these verses.

Why The Topic Of Marriage?

Obviously by studying the topic of marriage and what God has to say about it means we can better glorify God in our own marriages but that is just one reason. Some of the other reasons we should consider this an important topic:

As mothers we are raising kids who will face the very real possibility of marriage and we need to have a firm grasp on what the Bible has to say so that we can train our own children up in the way they should go.

The second reason you should study this is because marriage is a big part of our churches and as a fellow believer better understanding marriage will help you to know better how to pray for and support your fellow brothers and sisters in Christ.

And Finally the other reason why it is important to study this topic is because Christ uses marriage as a picture of Christ’s love for the church so understanding better his idea of marriage will help us to better understand what role the church should play in our life. I hope you enjoy this study and I would encourage you to find a friend to go through this with so that you can discuss what God is teaching you as you read and to provide accountability.

What If I Am Not Married?

What if you are not married? Should you still do this Bible reading plan with us? The answer is a resounding YES, see all the reasons mentioned above.

Why Do You Include Catch Up Days?

I know life happens and we can get behind so  I have even built in a catch up day every 7 days. If you are on track and don’t need the catch up day I would encourage you to read a psalms or read over the passage from your Sunday service.  I hope you enjoy reading along too and I would love to see your thoughts on what you are reading down in the comments below or on instagram.
